Pokemon is the second most lucrative media franchise of anime, manga, toys, books, trading cards and a lot more. It introduces the fictional world of Pokemon which is composed of fictional species of insects. The concept of a Pokemon world is believed to have stemmed from Pokemon executive director Satoshi Tajiri’s hobby of collecting insects when he was a child. The most recent Pokemon games boast of their over 700 unique species of insects to capture and train. Despite some of them being powerful, not all Pokemon characters are as great as the others in terms of speed, mobility, use and overall statistics. Here is list of the ten most useless Pokemons:
10. Beedrill

Beedrill is among the first generation of Pokemons who were responsible for the establishment of the worldwide phenom. He, together with Butterfree, is among the easiest Bug Pokemons to evolve. This character has huge drill-like arms that offer no special powers and is initially known for being a bad-ass looking monster. He is considered useless because he has nothing better to do than to show his combination of Bug and Flying, which consistently proves incapable of withstanding any attack. The character is too weak that even birds could beat it.
9. Parasect

This insectoid Pokemon is characterized by its small head, pure white eyes and segmented body that is covered by a mushroom. Drained of nutrients, it is under the full control of tochukaso and is often found in caves. It moves as slowly as a wheel chair and it is easily squished by rocks. Because it lacks nutrients, it is resistant to nothing. This character is entirely overtaken by the parasitic mushroom which scatters poisonous spores and it has fungus thriving on its back. Its uselessness is pretty apparent that it dies immediately when it enters a match.
8. Dunsparce

Considered a completely uninspired Pokemon, Dunsparce is a land snake that does not evolve at all. It has very low stats and is classified as a Normal type of Pokemon. Known to evolve from or into any Pokemon, it has huge eyes and fairy wings but it moves very slowly and does not have any useful move-set. It has the capacity to float slightly through its wings and to avoid being detected by burrowing into the ground, but it lives a generally immobile life in caves and underneath the earth where it does nothing but make nest.
7. Luvdisc

This fish-like Pokemon has a flat body and had its name given by loving couples who spotted it in the ocean waters. It has a light pink color and pale lips, and is characterized by some circular marks on its cheeks. Some consider this character as a proof of Pokemon franchise’s terribly off-target balance because it is nothing but a tiny, non-evolving, uselessly cute fish. Its character resembles introverted dicks that spit water out of their mouth for nothing. It has very low stats that it could not even survive a Magikarp’s splash attack.
6. Gyarados (Generation 2)

Gyarados evolved from Magikarp. This dragon-like Pokemon is capable of “mega-evolving” from a simple Gyarados into a Gyaradosite and its character is often feared because it is generally serpentine. Physically, its body is mostly blue and has a yellow underbelly. What makes it look scary is the three-pointed, dark blue crest on top of its head that has white fins down its back. Despite its impressive physical attributes, however, it is regarded as useless in terms of power. It is a Flying type but it does not fly, and it could not even learn Fly or Bird attacks. It could easily be damaged with a variety of simple attacks.
5. Shedinja

Known to be more of a bad-ass than Gyarados and Beedrill combined, Shedinja is a Pokemon characterized by its tattered wings and completely dark and hollow body. This Pokemon is based on the shed exoskeleton of cicada so it does not have internal organs. Because its shell is made of chitin, this character is entirely incapable of making any movement despite the strong defenses of its hard body. The only thing it does is breathe and float without making any movement with its wings. Because of its uselessness, loneliness and immobility, it does not offer much in battles.
4. Absol

This quadrupled Pokemon has a massive blade on its head and is considered mammalian. It has a dark blue to gray body that is covered in white fur and its face resembles the shape of an almond. Spikes also protrude from the elbows of its front legs and from the heels of its hind legs. When it is filled with energy, the fur behind its mane stand on end, making it appear as though it has wings. This character resides in the mountains and very seldom ventures down from atop. Its move-set is below standard and its uselessness is earth-shattering because it is often blamed for the unfortunate effects of disasters on people.
3. Rotom

This Pokemon character looks very much like a condom because of its lighting shield. One of its coolest abilities is to change its appearance into an appliance such as a lawnmower. It has a plasma body and a whitish blue aura of electricity. In the Pokemon anime, this character is often seen pulling pranks on innocent people. The thing that makes this character useless is that despite the fact that it can change its shape, it does not alter its move-sets. Thus, it is nothing but another useless Electric type of Pokemon.
2. Probopass

Unlike its pre-evolutionary stage called Nosepass that has very impressive defensive stats, Probopass is nothing but a huge red nose that does nothing better than lurk in the middle of a boulder. It is mostly blue in color and has small round eyes, and it has the capacity to fight its opponents from all directions because of its mini-noses. What makes this character useless is that its tons of weaknesses as a Rock type cause it to offer no damage at all to its opponents.
1. All Generation 5 Pokemon
Almost all Generation 5 Pokemon characters are nothing but recycled versions of the past generations, just like Swoobat and Boufflant who were previously known as Tauros and Golbat in Generation 1. Followers of Pokemon would know that Generation 5 characters are just previous generations’ reinvented versions, only with new skins and new names. Another example is Victini, who seems to be just a red-colored Celebi of an earlier Pokemon generation with useless speed and no significant prowess at all.
