There’s a variety of snakes throughout the world that’s extremely dangerous. Just one bite from the snake can kill you within a few minutes if not treated right away. One place that has a lot of dangerous snakes is Africa. Some of the snakes that you will find in Africa include the Egyptian Cobras, mambas, carpet vipers and the puff adders. However, there are also deadly snakes in the Middle East, South and Central America and in South Asia.

10. Black Mamba
You’ll find the Black Mamba in the Sub0 Saharan part of Africa. The snake is very fast and can speed up to around 12 Miles per Hour. It’s 2nd largest snake that is in Africa. It’s also a very aggressive snake and it’s territorial. The Black Mamba has a green olive color. The inside of the snake’s mouth is black. Everyone fears this snake. When it bites someone they experience pain that’s extremely intense. The poison attacks the central nervous system and the organs shut down and within one hour after experiencing a bite from the Black Mamba, you’ll probably be dead unless if you can get antipode fast. If the Black Mamba feels extremely threatened, it can strike multiple times.

9. Coastal Taipan
The Coastal Taipan is found in both Northern and Eastern Australia. You’ll find this snake to be a light olive color or either a russet brown that’s dark. Sometimes the snake is also either a black or dark grey color. It lives in the open forest or in a forest that’s dry closed. You might also find the snake creeping around in a grassy beach dune or at the coastal health. It’s very venomous and can kill if first aid is not applied fast.

8. The Indian Cobra
The Indian Cobra is considered to be one of the highest venomous snakes in India, Central and Southeast Asia. It feeds on frogs, lizards and rodents. The Indian Cobra attacks and defends itself in a unique way. Instead of just biting a person, it can spit out venom. When the venom hits the eyes, it can cause damage and severe pain. The venom can shoot up to around 6 ½ feet. The color of the Indian Cobra varies between a dark brown color or can even be black or a yellow white color.

7. The Common Krait
This snake is very mysterious. It is considered to be one of the Neurotoxin snakes and can be found in India and more so in West Bengal. The snake is a non-hooded one and it’s extremely long. The color of the snake is black. It normally feeds upon insects that are small. The reason why this snake is so mysterious is because the bite is painless. However, if a person is sleeping and the Common Krait bites them then the person could die from it but without feeling anything, unlike most of the other snake bites.

6. Russell Viper
The Russell Viper is found throughout Asia, Taiwan and in Southern China. Due to the fact that it is spread throughout so many countries, more humans have been bitten by this snake than any other. The Russell Viper is extremely dangerous because of it being venomous. A person might suffer for up to 14 days after a bite from the Russell Viper and die if not treated immediately. In India they call this snake the Daboia. Unfortunately, another problem with this snake is that it tends to be in a lot of the region which is agricultural and that’s another reason as to why there have been so many deaths by it.

5. Saw-Scaled Viper
The Saw-Scaled Viper is a very venomous snake despite the fact that it’s small. You’ll find it mainly in Arabia, Africa, Southwestern Asia, India and in Sri Lanka. The color of the Saw-Scaled Viper varies from brown, orange and to gray. They Saw-Scaled Viper is a nocturnal snake and usually comes out to eat birds, mammals, other snakes, amphibians, lizards, scorpions and also centipedes.

4. The Many-Banded Krait
The Many-Banded Krait lives in Southeast Asia and in India. It’s one of the deadliest venom snakes out there. Just one bite can kill you. The snake is nocturnal and it feeds on lizards, frogs, mice, fish and it also eats other snakes. The snake is not one that’s aggressive and during the day they are very lazy. It tries to flee before attacking a person. If it does bite it can be deadly because of it being so toxic. It also normally only bites at night unless if it feels threatened. The color of the snake is yellow and black.

3. Inland Taipan
The Inland Taipan can be found in Queensland, South Australia and also in the northern territory. It mainly eats rats and mammals that are small. Just one bite and the mammal dies instantly. The color of the Inland Taipan varies from a light brown to a dark brown color. The color can also change according to the season. During the winter time it tends to be more dark and during the summer time it can be light.

2. Eastern Brown Snake
The Eastern Brown Snake can be found mainly in the Eastern part of Australia and across the coast to the desert. The Eastern brown snake is extremely venomous and very fast. It can be aggressive and can even chase the ones who might be attacking the snake. The good news is that the snake tries to not bite if they can avoid it. They respond mainly to movement and if you ever find yourself near this type of snake, stand extremely still and make as little movement as possible.

1. Belcher’s Sea Snake
The Belcher’s sea snake is extremely venomous and the venom in one is enough to kill around 1000 people or more. It’s also considered to be one of the most toxic animals in the entire world. It lives mainly in Thailand, the Philippines and in New Guinea. If the snake does bite a person they can die within 30 minutes. On the plus side, they are very friendly and some even describe them as mild-tempered. They only bite if they feel threatened and usually around 25%-30% of the time the snake will release the venom.
