Halloween is a holiday that both children and even adults love. Lots of candy gets sold this time of year. Some of the most popular candies tend to be chocolate bars such as Kit-Kats and Snickers. The one thing that you will want to avoid is buying candies that might be the worst to give out during Halloween time. What happens to be the most popular candies kids want for Halloween?
Check out these top 10 candies kids want the most for Halloween:
10. Kit-Kat Bars
Out of all the chocolate candy bars available to give out during Halloween one of the most popular ones is the Kit-Kat bar. There are a total of 35 Kit-Kat bars available around the world. You can now find Kit-Kat mini’s available. In the USA another flavor that is popular besides the milk chocolate Kit Kat bar is the white chocolate Kit Kat Bar. I am not a big fan of dark chocolate but they also have a dark Kit Kat bar. If you’re unsure as to what type of flavor you would like to have then you can always grab the back of Kit Kat assorted miniatures. I only mark it at number 10 because I wished they had more flavors to pick from.

9. Starburst
Yes, Starburst is still extremely popular during Halloween. I can even remember as a kid being excited when I opened up my bag and saw Starburst in it. Maybe it’s just because of the juicy sweet flavors that literally explodes in your mouth after you’ve popped one in. You’ll find yourself wanting to taste all of the flavors right away. One of my favorite flavors is the orange Starburst but I also like the Strawberry one. There’s a sweet juicy taste to satisfy everyone.

8. Snickers
Getting a Snickers bar is almost as exciting as finding a Kit-Kat bar. One of my all time favorite Snickers bars is the Snickers Ice Cream bar but you won’t find that in your bag. The good news is besides the famous milk chocolate Snickers bar you can now find a variety of flavors available. There’s even more varieties of Snickers bars to pick from then Kit-Kat in the USA. You can find peanut butter squared Snickers and even a Snickers almond bar.

7. Nerds
I still love Nerds to this day. When the Nerds candy first came out you could only get the same flavor in a box. If you picked up the Strawberry box of Nerds then that was all you got. I was very happy when they later released a mixture of flavors in one box. However, I loved what they did with putting it side by side each other and not all together. On one side of the box you could open it up and have grape Nerds and on the other side of the box, you could open it up and have strawberry Nerds.

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
A good Reese’s Peanut Butter cup is great to enjoy throughout the year but there’s just something about finding it in your trick or treat bag that makes it even more special. One of my most favorite treats to have is a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Oreo. Yes, you read that right! I love the fact that they made a peanut butter cup Oreo. If you love the Oreo’s as much as me the good news is you can now find miniature Reese’s peanut butter cup Oreo’s that will be great to hand out on Halloween night. Other flavors include the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, the white peanut butter cup and of course, the Reese’s Pieces candy that I love.

5. Life Savers
I don’t know what it is about Life Savers but they are just fun to get and suck on. They might not be as exciting as finding a Snicker’s bar in your bag but kids still enjoy getting them. I really enjoy the life savers gummies. If you’re unsure about giving kids just the regular life savers, then go for the gummies. There are all sorts of Life Saver’s flavors available such as butter rum, cherry lemonade, wild berries and even strawberry apple.

4. M&M’s
I’m sure that you are not surprised to see M&M’s on the list. Did you know that you can now even find Pumpkin Spice M&M’s? I’m not so sure if they are so popular to give out on Halloween night but if you wanted to surprise people and not give them the milk chocolate M&M’s then that would be one way to do it. However, you can buy a huge bag of fun size M&Ms for just around $10 or less and hand out a variety of them.

3. Skittles
I think that I always received M&M’s, Skittles and Kit-Kat’s every time I went trick or treating. I’m not complaining that I did because they are my favorite goodies to get and many kids enjoy them. There’s a variety of flavors available for Skittles but the classic original Skittles seem to be what’s still popular to give out these days. Did you know that they even have sour skittles available now?
Doesn’t the skittle pictures below look similar to the M&M’s picture above? It’s not the same one tho as you can see the S is on the skittles and the colors vary.

2. Hershey’s Chocolate Bar
This is another candy I would often times find in my bag and that’s still popular today. Just like the original classic flavor for Skittles is the best to give out, kids enjoy getting the original plain milk chocolate Hershey’s bar. There are other flavors available. Don’t you remember being excited when you found that Hershey’s chocolate bar in your bag?

I still enjoy Laffy Taffy to this day. This was and still is extremely popular to give out at Halloween time but for some reason, I did not get enough of it and always would go home disappointed if I didn’t see any in my bag. There’s a variety of flavors available such as banana, strawberry and sour apple. My favorite flavor is strawberry. I also love just having the solid plain milk chocolate laffy taffy.
