10. Chai Tea

Chai tea is great to have during the afternoon on a cold winter’s day. All that you’ll need is crushed spices, ginger, cinnamon sticks plus you will need to boil your milk and then add the tea bags. In 10 minutes you’ll be able to enjoy this delicious tea depending on what recipe you use to make it. If you want a snack with Chai Tea then I suggest cookies.

9. Warm Eggnog

I must admit that I am not a big fan of eggnog. However, if you serve it to me warm I might drink it. All that you need to do is just take egg yolks, cream, milk, sugar and of course, nutmeg then you can make some warm eggnog. Some people like to put in rum or either bourbon in their eggnog but I still would rather have the non-alcoholic eggnog.

8. Mulled Cider / Mulled Apple Juice

I love mulled cider. When I go to the coffee shop sometimes I order mulled cider during the cold months instead of coffee just for a change. The flavor is just incredible depending on what recipe you make. Most mulled cider recipes require apple cider, cinnamon sticks, lemon zest, cloves, allspice berries and something that’s optional is a star anise. I love it when I see a star anise in my mulled cider.

7. Café Latte

I enjoy having café latte year round but more so during winter. You can easily make café latte yourself if you have a machine to do it. However, if you are like me and might not have the special machine that it takes to make café latte you will find most coffee shops sale it. I enjoy going to the book store that has a coffee shop, ordering café latte and reading a good book.

I am sure that this might be one drink you did not expect to find on here. If you have never tried it before then I highly recommend it. This drink is so good and more so if you like pineapple juice. Some recipes require pepper to be put in the drink but normally I leave out the pepper. The pepper is often times optional. However, if you like pepper then go for it. 5. Hazelnut Macchiato

There’s just something special about having hazelnut’s in the winter and more so drinking the flavor of them. Hazelnut Macchiato is milk that’s steamed freshly with a touch of vanilla syrup and espresso added in to help give you that energy boost that you might need. Hazelnut is drizzled on top of the drink. The hazelnut macchiato is a sweet and luscious drink that will satisfy your hazelnut craving instantly. I know it does the trick for me.

4. Warm Cranberry Cider

Here is another drink that you might either love or hate. If you don’t like cranberries then it’s obvious that you won’t like this drink. However, I happen to love cranberries and really enjoy warm cranberry cider. Cinnamon sticks can be used as a stirrer to really help with adding in a nice cinnamon taste to the drink. Often times the drink can be done within a few minutes. Warm cranberry cider is also healthy for you.

3. Hot Buttered Lemonade

I don’t know about you but during the summer time I love lemonade and before I learned about hot buttered lemonade I missed having the drink often during winter. My friend introduced me to hot buttered lemonade when I was complaining about how I missed lemonade. You can of course drink lemonade cold but then it won’t warm you up! Hot buttered lemonade is so easy to make and taste so good. All you’ll need is butter, grated lemon peels, sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon sticks. If you’ve never tried this drink and like lemonade then I highly recommend it.

2. Hot Spiced Apple Pear Cider

It seems that there are lots of alcoholic pear recipe drinks available but what if you’re looking for a warm pear winter recipe drink that is not alcoholic? This one might be perfect for you. Hot spiced apple pear cider lives up to its name. In order to get the spiciness in the drink peppercorn is added in. However, if you don’t want it spicy I have discovered that just having Hot Apple Pear Cider is just as good if not even better without the peppers. I also like mulled pear & cranberry pear punch mixed together.

I am sure that you’re not surprised to see hot chocolate as the number one favorite for warm nonalcoholic winter drinks. There’s a variety of ways for you to make hot chocolate. Did you know that one of my favorites is peanut butter hot chocolate but you can also do vanilla hot chocolate or even peppermint hot chocolate. Sometimes I still prefer just the classic hot chocolate drink. You can have this drink anytime during the day or night. It just hits the spot. Adding in lots of marshmallows on top is just a must.
