10. Shower Heads
The shower head is one we tend to overlook a lot of times. No one really likes to clean the shower head or either we forget about it. The shower head becomes clogged and just ends up looking gross. The good news is you can easily clean it. You can take a plastic bag, put in some white vinegar in the bag and secure it around your shower head. In a few hours, you can take the bag off and wipe the shower head off with a cloth that’s wet and you’re done.

9. Mattresses
Most of us tend to beat the mattresses. The good news is you don’t have to worry about cleaning the mattress that way anymore. All you need to do is just apply some baking soda over the entire mattress. Make sure that you let it stay on the mattress for a few hours. After a few hours is over then just grab your vacuum cleaner and vacuum it up. You can also add in some drops of your favorite essential oil on the mattress.
8. Cutting Boards
A wooden cutting board can get lots of food particles trapped on it. We often times make the mistake with just washing them off with a sponge. However, just a sponge is not enough for you to simply clean them. Try taking some lemon and salt. Rub them on your cutting board. The reason why is salt helps to get rid of the dirt more and the lemon will help with removing any odors on the board that could be unpleasant. You’ll be amazed at what a difference that makes.
7. Hair brushes
Cleaning hair brushes can be difficult. You find yourself just wanting to toss it and get a new one. Hopefully this tip will save you some money. All you need to do is find some scissors. Cut the hair wads that are along the hair brush. You’ll be amazed at how this makes it much easier to remove the other hair that’s trapped inside.
6. Blinds
Often times we make the mistake with cleaning blinds. You generally tend to let the maid clean the blinds. When you find yourself cleaning the blind you just wipe it with a wet cloth. However, this way is not getting all of the germs off. Take one of your old socks and mix it in vinegar and in some warm water. Put it in your hand and start cleaning the blinds. If using your old sock doesn’t appeal to you then you can use it on an old shirt or something that is clean but yet don’t mind with putting vinegar on it.
5. Cheese graters
I have been guilty of cleaning the cheese grater the wrong way. The wrong way is with getting a sponge and just cleaning it down with the sponge. However, first you need to grate a piece of potato and then allow that to remove the grated cheese. The reason why is because the potato has oxalic acid in it that helps with removing the rest of the cheese.
4. Toothbrushes
If you’re in a hurry then you generally tend to put your toothbrush under the water, clean it and go. The bad news is this is not cleaning them properly. What you need to do is get a cup, put some vinegar in the cup and warm water. Give it a good soak in the cup and then rinse it. This really helps with getting rid of bacteria.

3. The dishwasher
Believe it or not, your dishwasher even needs to be cleaned. A lot of people don’t know this or either end up forgetting to do it. What you do is put in one cup of vinegar and water mix inside then take some baking soda and spread it on the bottom of your dishwasher. Run it on a hot cycle with no dishes in it. This way it keeps clean and you won’t have to worry about bacteria in your dishwasher.

2. Toys
I don’t know about you but I have found myself wiping most toys individually. This takes a long time to do. Instead of washing them individually find out what toys can go in your dishwasher. Put the toys that happen to be dishwasher safe in the dishwasher and let them get cleaned that way. It will help save you some time.
1. The coffee maker
Your coffee maker needs to be cleaned out more often but usually we just wait until we’ve had a cup of coffee and find it tastes sort of gross. Instead of just wiping it down with a sponge clean it with water and some vinegar a few times. This will help with getting rid of any bacteria that might be left in it and make it taste a lot better.
Conclusion
Using just simple water and vinegar can help you with being able to clean many things properly. If you’re too stressed to worry about cleaning then consider hiring a maid so that way you won’t have to worry about bacteria growing in your home, which can be very harmful to your body.
